Our strategic partner in Argentina was founded in 1986, they are the largest end-producers purebred cattle operations in Carcarañá - Santa Fe of Argentina. Leveraging on the synergies of the on-going business in the Brazil, Uruguay and the United States, Black Opal is able to keep a steady supply of using superior beef cattle genetics and producing an end product that exceeds the customer expectations.
Black Opals genetics are the same genetics being used throughout Argentina. Accelerated genetic advancement started in the mid-1990s, with the arrival of the first bull from the United States. Numerous shipments of carefully selected semen and embryos followed. Over the last two decades, designed mating’s took place, combining the grass conversion capabilities of the Argentine cattle, with carcass traits of the American genomic tested genetics. Today, the renowned genetics that Black Opal uses, are sought after and acknowledged by the average prices obtained in company’s annual auctions that are consistently ranked in the top 10 of Argentina and by the increasing quantity of repeat buyers.
